Early: Where'd she go? Simon: I can't keep track of her when she's not incorporeally possessing a space ship. Don't look at me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm dicking around this morning, because I have to go to an event at the Common in a little bit, but I was just doing errands, and it's so fucking hot and muggy out! I was planning to walk to the thing, but I think I have to take the T, which feels like a total cop-out, but ugh. At least I did a little walking already this morning.

Art Crawl!!!

Man, I hate hot and muggy.

It's been hot and muggy here for days but we've finally got a break in the weather.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Billytea, aren't there penguins native to Australia? Or am I terribly confused.

There certainly are, the little penguins. There's a colony on Phillip Island, a couple of hours' drive from where we live, and one of my favourite holiday destinations.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So apparently the Netherlands has a reality show called "Who is the worst driver in the Netherlands?"

(you probably know where I'm going with this)

The show puts nominated drivers through a driving course. One driver apparently got the accelerator and brake mixed up, ran through barriers, mowed down a cameraman and host of the show and hit a staff car hard enough to break the windshield.

At one point, you see him COVERING HIS EYES while the car careens out of control.

Video of the incident is on the blog, no injuries are shown, just bad driving and the driver (and his passengers) screaming.

OMG!

What a bad idea.

Penguin (books) just tweeted the link to the Official Bloodlines facebook page. Is it for a movie or a tv show?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mmm. Hot and muggy. Of course, I'm wearing a turtle-necked sweater dress today, but still, I love hot and muggy.

Neither, it's a new book series spun off from the Vampire Academy books. First book comes out in August.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

This is not simply a gratuitous comparison, as there's at least one point of contention between the two in which Mayr is fairly scornful of Dawkins' position.

Punctuated equilibrium, I presume.

Art Crawl!!!

Polgara - so the casting is just "dreamcasting" - not really about anything?

Okay, see this dress? That belt? Not remotely near my waist. Sometimes I don't know why I try.

Men may need more cuddling. Is this only straight men, though?
