Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Sharing lanes is easy, Pix! All you have to do is stay on one side of the lane if you're with one other person. (My wrist gets bruised because I'm always whacking it on the lane marker, though.) If there's three or more people, then it gets more complicated. I hate circle swimming, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. The worst part of circle swimming for me is that everyone is swimming at a different pace, so people pass you and then I feel guilty about holding them up, so I wait at the end of the pool and let them go ahead, which throws off my pacing.

Goggles are a definite requirement. I've got to get back to using the swim cap that I really hate and which does nothing to keep the water off of my hair. But, it's supposed to protect the color more than swimming without one, so I'll have to put it on again.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

ita, if I had a magical pain-free wand, I think you would be the first person I waved it over.

Pix, go team you! I HAVE to start moving more, or else I'm going to freeze into a wretched little hunched computer gargirl.

Suzi, I hope you get relief for your shoulder. I've messed up my shoulder a couple of times, and you don't realize how much you really use your arms until the blazing pain reminds you.

Also, I think it's so awesome that CJ is doing rescue work. Scary, yet awesome.

tommyrot, hah! D's netbook is covered with stickers, and mine has been plain until last week. I went with this sticker pack: my favorite is the Drunk Librarian one, although THE Pynchon novel one is a close 2nd. [link]

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Thanks Erin. My karate training partner is a nurse and I was describing the issue to her yesterday as - it is fine until it most assuredly is not. I was supposed to be on the next belt test, which is in two weeks, but my calendar already had a couple of immovable things on it. So now I have until September to prepare - including fixing my shoulder.

Not sure what kind of call CJ is on today. It is something in town, non-emergency, but not a planned event. I'm not finding anything in the news that fits the location they were headed to. Will get the details when he gets home.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I really want to get one of the adult weighted hula hoops. I've heard great things about it.

Art Crawl!!!

I am soooo bored.

Half an hour 'til I get back to my own desk. (BTW, new computer? Still not there.)

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Luckily, I was inside for the huge dust storm, but they are not uncommon for this time of year...we got some rain too.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I can't hula hoop anymore. My hips just don't seem to work that way.

I HAVE to get one and work on it. I need to get my hips moving for derby.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm running a fever. I had appendicitis and didn't run a fever. I don't think I've had a fever in 25 years.

And a prescription for prilosec. Not sure what that has to do with the fever, but what the fuck. It's not like I haven't pretty much given up on doctors.

I haven't eaten solid food yet. I'm contemplating the coffee cake from yesterday, with some tea. But I don't want to feel it in my stomach.

Ah, well. Onto 90 minutes of conference calls, only 60 of which I have to lead. And I can't actually see straight.
