Had a lovely evening with friends, even if my children were devilish (which I am sure is my fault). ita, I'm sorry that they made your head worse. It occurs to me that I SUCK at getting them to be quieter.

We used every plate in the house!

I'm really glad I washed the window screens.

Tomorrow will be yoga, then moving the crib and the high chair and the kitchen table into the dining room.

I have Noah's 4th song trapped in my head. Sing it with me (to the tune of Row Row Row Your Boat)

Snap Crackle Whistle Pop
Fireworks in the sky.
See them light up the night
On the 4th of July
Red, Blue, Green and Gold
The fireworks blah blah say
Happy Birthday, America;
It's Independence Day!

Sigh.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Tomorrow he is working the local fireworks event - either directing traffic or guarding the fireworks.

Career possibilties for CJ: Police, Firefighter, EMT...

He does seem to be trending that way.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

He has wanted to be a fireman since he knew it was a job. That may change as he goes through more ARP training. In the fall he can take an EMT course - same as the training EMTs go through, but since the ARP members are under 18, they can't be officially certified. Still, great training to have.

How do you wash window screens? I tried a few times in DC, because they were FILTHY, but couldn't figure out a way to do it that wouldn't just shred whatever I was trying to clean them with.

How do you wash window screens?

Scrub them with a brush.

...this is one of those things where you have to actually be able to take the screens out of the window, eh?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Microfiber rags -- one should have them anyway, because they work on everything and you just throw them into the wash. 30 for $16 at Costco.

That is traditional. Soapy stuff, brush, hose.

I mean, that's how we did it in Florida which is all about the screens.

Can't find the clafoutis recipe I used last time. Grrr.

Everyone wants me to remove the pits. Bastards.

I know it had rum.

Yep. I took them out of the window and washed them with water and a brush (no soap). Then I used a Magic Eraser and wiped them down front and back.

I wonder if you could just magic eraser them?
