"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

What else can I paint? I want to paint everything!

you want to come visit? I have some dining room chairs.

And when I was consulting, I found that my natural rhythm was sleeping 2AM to 10AM. I miss that schedule.

I would like to sleep midnight-8, pretty much. But also a total lazy-ass! So I might wake up, but I don't want to do much....

Yeah, yesterday AND today I set my alarm for 9AM, thinking I"d go to yoga at 10 (normally there's an afternoon class, but not holiday weekend). Didn't happen either day. This morning I woke up slightly before, snoozed a bit, got up, read the internet on my phone for a while in bed, decided I would need to get up NOW if I was going to get up...and rolled over and went back to sleep for another hour. Sigh.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

HOLY CRAP Y'ALL

A large tree from the neighbor's yard just fell over across our yard and over to the yard on the other side.

While we were sitting right under the skylight in the nerdhole to watch it fall.

DID NOT fall on the roof (that we were DID I MENTION sitting directly under). But still. ADRENALINE.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Votex, your optimal schedule is mine, as well.

Amy, that sounds...exciting?

I turned in my paper and am starting my next session for Anthropology. It's on sex and gender (I could basically answer nearly all of the assignment questions already, apart from the "use examples from the reading" aspects), to which I say, "Bring. It." And I will probably need to write a note to my prof apologizing for my verbosity. But there's an essay question about "boy toys" and "girl toys", so I don't feel that I can be held responsible.

Yeah, it's pretty close to mine. Which sometimes leads to problems, as Pete would like to be a morning person. Plus there's that whole having to re-learn a daywalker schedule when I start job hunting again.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ack scary tree!

My two best jobs were when I was working swing shift at the factory 10-7, and when I was working dinner theater hours 5-1. That one was great.

Thank god it didn't fall on you Amy!! Did it damage any of your yard?

Ack scary tree!

I KNOW!!

It possibly killed our AC, and did some lesser damage to a gutter and the fence. No structural damage to the house (thank DOG) and everything else in the yard looks like just a lot of cleanup.

Sigh. We're going out of town tomorrow. It would be nice to deal with the umpty-million things on that list right now, rather than this.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Jeebeus, Amych, that's terrifying.

I'm at my almost optimal sleep schedule -- 9:00 PM to about 6:00 AM. A nice 9 hours! And an afternoon nap if I can swing it.

I went to Ikea and bought another dining chair so I can get rid of the high chair now. And the crib.

No commentary on Charlene Whitstock? I think she looked beautiful. [link]
