The other day a coworker let me know that I had never changed my voicemail back from when I was out of the office in May. Oops.

Seriously? "Today is Friday, July 1, and I can't take your call." "Today is Tuesday, July 5, and I can't take your call." How is that useful?
"It's Wednesday, and I am in the office today." Actually, could you just do a bunch like that and only make a custom one when needed?

Yeah, that's ridiculous. I don't even update my vm to let people know when it's my regular day off. Or my email, for that matter.
Frankly, there just aren't that many emergencies in what I do: 99% of the time, it can wait until I'm back in the office.
