"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

We lost power last night for several hours. Then I spilled coffee on myself and accidentally drop-kicked my phone on the way to a meeting. I didn't horribly embarrass myself IN the meeting, so I guess that's okay.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Oh, sorry! Those are the ones I'm *not* getting rid of. Just to illustrate the degree of clotheshorsiness I have achieved. Good eye, though, that green dress is one of my favorites. If you want, I'll go through and start photographing the stuff I'm culling-- there's a really cute aqua silk Anthro dress you might like.

Holli, if you have anything that might fit a v. busty 12 I may be interested. I like your style!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oops! I thought those were the not-culled-but-still-yard-sale candidates.

But, yeah, if the aqua silk dress happens to wander in front of a camera anytime in the future, I may be very intrigued.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay for vacay, brenda!

I need vacation. We'll basically have a weekend for the 4th, which is better than nothing, I guess. But I am not into it. And I need to clean up this whole basement and load the car before we go. And we didn't rehearse for this morning's song, so I don't want to do it, but the SO is at Gander Mountain getting an arrow repaired. AND he facebook scheduled us to go straight to his brother's from here, where apparently a bunch of people will be. So not into going to hang out with people directly from camp where I will be sweaty and super tired and have the dog to look after. But he has not yet told me this is the plan. I suppose I'm supposed to know from facebook. CRANKY!

I think it's anticipatory crankiness because I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks of being separated again. But oh well.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had book club last night, which means Too Much Cheese. So I don't think I will run this morning, but a long walk in the neighborhood might do me well.

It's supposed to be a hot weekend here, and I suspect I'll be bringing my bathing suit out to my folks' place--they have a very nice pool nearby.

ION, my life is very boring.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Just one more week at the crazy lady job. Vbs is over and they gave me a nice gift, very sweet. And if that wasn't enough, I finally got my fed refund, so I've just paid my remaining med bills from march and my cc bills and my house payment. Yay!

woohoo msbelle!!!

I'm working on a v. tedious work task that needs to be completed before I go on vacation on the 6th and which I volunteered to do and all I want to do is get ready for vacation! And nap. I am working at home which is nice. It's very pleasant in here today. And one of the cats is sleeping on the table next to me but not right up in my grill.

I have to keep turning off the internet though so I can focus on Task of Tedium.

Yay for bill payment!

Yay for vacationing Buffistas!

Boo for first world problems.

I woke up at 5:30 this morning. I was supposed to meet my swim buddy at the pool for a 7:30 a.m. swim, so after waking up, I ran downstairs to do my laundry. Well, one of my washers sprang a leak of some sort, because the entryway to the laundry room had turned into a lake when I went down to move things into the dryer. Oh, well, that's for the management office to fix.

Laundry got done, but I was running a few minutes late, so I called my buddy as soon as I got into my car. Turns out she had completely forgotten about the morning swim (we are both off today, which is why this was off schedule for us) and had things to do, so I just swam by myself (nice to have the lane alone), and then concluded my mile with some leg exercises to make up for my lack of kicking.

Came home to organize all of my Goodwill donations; I now have them in three boxes and a bag, all of which I'm going to take down to the car in a bit and drop off by noon. I'll have to make another run tomorrow with the leftover stuff, but then it'll all be cleaned out of here.

I'll also finally do the bathroom tomorrow. This afternoon is my massage and pedicure, and then maybe I'll do some cooking tonight.
