Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, msbelle!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've been doing sorta cleaning. Laundry, and I made my bed, and put away some stuff, and put new drawer pulls on a wardrobe. (OK, that last one doesn't really count as cleaning.) Next step, I think, is put some more stuff away, and then break down some cardboard boxes so that the recycling people will take them. I also have to figure out what happened to my garbage can, since it seems to have disappeared in the two weeks I've been gone.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah, fuck your boss, msbelle. Not literally.

Yeah!

But mostly, congratulations on decrazifying your circumstances a bit.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I think she mostly does not realize that her stressful workplace is mostly her own doing. She is a highly undisciplined, easily distracted, forgetful, control freak. She brings the drama on herself by overscheduling, rushing when there is no need, and challenging people on every single thing. Today she has already called and instructed me to start really double checking on two things because of mistakes that were made. BY HER!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I finally heard back from a former co-worker/friend whom I hadn't seen in a couple of years. I emailed him a month ago, and then mentioned to my boss (a mutual friend) that D didn't get back to me yet. Well, D called me just now and invited me to his house on Sunday for the local 4th of July parade, which goes right past his home. Lots of fun!

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Of the 13 they have listed, I have only consumed 4 of them and Vernor's would be dead last every time. Sprecher's - I have had their root beer and I was not impressed, so I wouldn't try their ginger ale unless I lost a dare.

I like ginger in my ginger ale, and I'm not a big fan of soda anyway (too sweet), so I definitely fall on the side of Blenheim's and Reed's rather than most common brands.

Of course, since these days soda is mostly just so I'm not drinking straight alcohol, I'm pretty much a Fever-Tree Ginger Beer girl.
