Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

One Repub senator made a speech about how he could find no legal justification for refusing to allow same-sex marriage.

Mark Grisanti, from up in Sophia's part of the state, and one of the undecideds until the end. Also the source of my new tagline for life: "You can be wiser today than you were yesterday, if you do the work". DAMN, dude. That was some fine speech and I want it on YouTube now.

(Apparently, he was also lobbied by Lady Gaga.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Hey, New York! Let's make out!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay New York!

Strange times we live in.

Apparently more Republicans are realizing the country is moving fairly fast to acceptance of gay marriage. The Republican wedge issue is turning around and starting to bite them in the ass.

Gay-making-out would be even better!

This weekend I'm heading to Eureka Springs to spend a couple of nights in the historic hotel I stayed at last year. Much lazing around should ensue, and this time I know in advance that they have the best restaurant in the state.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Have fun, Matt! Which hotel is it? I'm memfaulting on the big one at the top of the hill; starts with a C?

Eureka Springs is so pretty and fun. IS it Pride Weekend there? For some reason, I think of EPS Pride in the spring...

Go, New York! Awesome!

She wants me in love because the endorphins should mitigate the pain, and she wants me to have babies because that way her DNA will be propagated. It's all woefully pragmatic.

I...kinda love your mom for that reasoning! Annoying as it may be for you.

javachik, WOO! YAY!

Ginger, did the storm pass? Are you and your pup ok?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I kinda love ita's mom.

My weekend began with margaritas and hanging out with Franny's second grade teacher and some of her classmates' families. That was nice. And tomorrow we're going to Theatricum Botanicum to see Midsummer Night's Dream. Nice way to start off summer vacation.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Java, that's awesome!

I went for sushi with Buffistas. And it was good. But I might have a hangover in the morning, bah.

Also, yay NY! I'm trying to remember: didn't the California legislature pass a gay marriage bill but the governor vetoed it because he wanted it by referendum? Or am I misremembering? it's so hard to keep track.

It's the Crescent, the 19th century castle-like one on the hilltop with the ghost tours and such.

I don't think it's Pride weekend there; the only events I saw on their calendar were downtown historical tours and the weekly concert in Basin Park. But in general the place is the gayest town in Arkansas.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY new york

YAY Javachik! We shall have to throw you a homeownerwarming party soon.

Oof, today was Hella long. I left home a couple minutes after 7 and just got home about 10 minutes ago.

Totally worth it though, because I got to see shrift and -t and Consuela, and hopefully there will not be hangovers in the morning.
