Speaking of recycling, why do people walk past the recycling bins to throw recyclables away?
Stupidity.
Okay, the guys are spitting moonshine on a fire. Hearts, I have hearts for them.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I realized my onerous task is finding out how long the post office will hold a package if something is sent to me registered mail while I'm away. I have so many things winging their way to me right now...I hope they all arrive before I leave for the holidays.
Onerous task completed: Called the pet sitting place to explain my concerns about leaving Taz alone while on holiday and get them thinking about a solution so that we don't have to worry about him being blocked (and dying) while we're in Ohio.
Well that was easy...they hold for 15 days. I should be in the clear.
My onerous task is sending girl scout related emails. However, I do that most every week day, so I can't exactly confine it to every 2 weeks on Wednesday at 2pms. I wish.
My local Girl Scout people are made of Tino.

This was making me totally irrational during the reasonableness of the Rally to Restore Sanity.
Seriously, my companion had to restrain me.
"Recycling." It is not a complex concept. Throwing your full, plastic drink container in the recycling bin, which it has to be said, is one quarter inch away from the actual rubbish bin, will contaminate the entire load, Dude. Seriously. How is iced coffee recyclable?
I got into a verbal joist this this guy over pizza boxes (not recyclable in DC) and how 'where he comes from' coffee cups are recyclable. Not. Even. The. Paper. Ones, Dude. Read a pamphlet! PLUS, big white letters on the bin tell you exactly what to put in each...Read a box!
I might have been over-energized given that I was still sick and being in a crush of people, however awesome they may be, was making me nervous.
Apparently, I will buy an e-book that may answer my questions and concerns before lunch. But now I really need to eat something.
Onerous task day is awesome.
Onerous task numero HUGE-o was calling the IRS to have more returns added to my payment plan. As always, great customer service. The bad news is that my monthly payment goes up 150% Ugh. But, it's done.
Onerous task number two, calling the hospital to check on the status of my financial aid application. They said they would get back to me in the first week of December. Not sure if that was last week or this, so I called. Left a message, but at least I reached out. Pins and needles.
Onerous task number three, following up with a client's insurance company to make sure they had everything they needed in order to reimburse. This is one of the reasons I don't take insurance...massively complex for very little return. As it happens, I'd done everything just fine. That's a weight off of my shoulders.
Onerous task number four, borrow a carpet cleaner to fix a problem that occurred while I was sick that bugs me every time I look at it...result!
Onerous task number five, paper sort and filing that has been lying around since I got sick. About 40% complete, so that's not nothing.
Onerous task number six, get the ingredients to make a truly yummy treat to thank a few of the people who have been so great to me lately. Done. Now I just need to cook the 'cranberry casserole'...which is basically a 'buckle.' To that end, I was thrilled to find gluten free oats. Not sure how that happens, exactly, but I'll take it!

They are here, as is most plastic, even with food residue. Half the time I have no idea what goes in composting and what goes in recycling.
I spend all my time at recycling muttering and moving things to the right bin. They even paint the brown glass boxes brown and the green ones green.
The onerous task I need to be doing is arguing with AT&T, but I'm not up for that. I'm picking these onerous tasks:
1) Sending invoices, including one that is embarrassing late because I'm a flake
2) Setting up new wireless router
3) Setting up Tivo with wireless router
