I really wish I wasn't wondering if it tasted like chicken now.

Natter 67: Overriding Vetoes
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I can always count on Natter for a topic of conversation that will get my mind off ickyness.
Um, I'm pretty sure it's getting your mind ON to ickyness.
Quote from my son: "I smeared banana on my butt to make the salt stick."
I love this so very much.
I was just about to go back to my main task for the day, when I realized no! It's time to do my Onerous Task! I.e., expense report. Good one.
I should also add that my son's reason for salting his butt was that it would sting and encourage him to do with math homework faster. Never mind he spent more time salting his butt than his homework took.

On to a different form of ickyness. And, ickyness that I don't have to personally deal with (thank heavens).

I love his reasoning skills. He would do better in my speech class than my current students. Faulty reasoning? Sure, but at least he's thinking!
Now, I'm going to go do my onerous task and make copies and hunt down empty boxes.
Off to finish my book!
To Your Onerous Tasks Go!
Onerous Tasks ENGAGE!
I actually already did a mildly onerous task while waiting for official time: sweeping out the bedroom of the extra dogs under the bed. And because the bedroom was a mess, that meant doing the laundry and the dishes and a bunch of other stuff, but now the bedroom is clean except for the dressertops. Which is a whole 'nother task.
Now! What for today's onerous task? I have a big one in mind, writing the letter to Mary, Moses' mom, but I don't know if I can handle that one even yet. So instead I think I'll tackle October data entry.
