Onerous Tasks ENGAGE!
I actually already did a mildly onerous task while waiting for official time: sweeping out the bedroom of the extra dogs under the bed. And because the bedroom was a mess, that meant doing the laundry and the dishes and a bunch of other stuff, but now the bedroom is clean except for the dressertops. Which is a whole 'nother task.
Now! What for today's onerous task? I have a big one in mind, writing the letter to Mary, Moses' mom, but I don't know if I can handle that one even yet. So instead I think I'll tackle October data entry.
encourage him to do with math homework faster
Now I totally want to suggest this to CJ next time he lingers over his homework.
My car is all set for the winter, over $400 more than I expected to spend. Luckily I'm pretty well done with my holiday shopping. Ouch. Maybe if I had taken the car in during the Onerous Task hour, it would have somehow been better.
For this hour, I plan on calling my car insurance to review my policy and hopefully lower my bill.
I have made my Onerous Task phone call and am awaiting further instructions on that matter. I suppose I should do some of my not so onerous tasks meanwhile, rather than sit here surfing the net.
Ooh, breaking down cardboard boxes! I keep putting that off, it must be onerous.
I am taking a pile of paper to recycling and then emptying the dishwasher!!!
Onerous task is onerous! Too many numbers!
I am starting in on a giant pile of slides to be transferred to JPG and relabeled, and while they scan I'll be working on a PR letter for Allyson (another one; I pre-onerous tasked my way through a goodly pile of them yesterday, so yay on that).
ION, my favorite Santa was fired last weekend! I'd totally been planning to take Matilda to Macy's to see him for her third visit, because he's just ridiculously sweet and good with kids and thoroughly Santa-like (some of the other families we waited in line with last year said they'd been bringing their kids to him for ten years), but now he's sacked. Though apparently I can still take her to see him, at the bar around the corner. My city, God love her.
Onerous tasks done! Made copies of the program-done! Found 3 empty boxes-done! Organized props into said empty boxes-done!
I still need to find some more empty boxes by next week, but I feel okay with my progress. yay!
