"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay, in happy kid non-stupid day news: My Monday back after a break, and before yet another break, i.e. doomed to failure day?

Last year I had a kiddo who, if he stayed in the basic vicinity of his chair for the fifteen minutes of music lesson, we considered it a victory.

Today, coming back from break, he totally learned to read music on the grand staff, and was looking at the notes and calling out the letter names and playing the right note on the piano. And when I was teaching it, he was totally giving me verbal feedback about what he understood and didn't understand.

And then during "free time" when they can do whatever they want on the instruments, and usually spend that time hitting the sound effects bank and shooting each other with their fingers, he opted to keep practicing his song. Melt my heart, 6-year-old!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I have horrible tasks to complete and no energy. Someone light a fire under my ass!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Melt my heart, 6-year-old!

Six!! Aw. Bless.

I have to confess, my day has been fine. I had a reuben calzone thing for lunch!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Awwww Liese, that is wonderful.

Allyson, I think Cass and Jilli have all the clicky lighters. I bet they would be willing to help.

Because books.

I have to confess, my day has been fine.

Could be the pantslessness.

My day has been neutral, aside from the omg!cold and the snow flurries, but I didn't have an IV and I'm not sick and the cats are not, as far as I know, about to puke, so I'm calling it a win.

I also have Candy Candy Joe-Joes. Probably not for long at the rate I'm going, though.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Like Allyson, I have horrible tasks to complete and no energy. Partly because the tasks are not only horrible but stupid. I actually just told my boss, out loud, that the thing she was asking me to do was redundant and stupid. She told me to stop arguing and just do it. I would like someone to light a fire under my manager's butt.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Candy Candy Joe-Joes.

I love this typo and wish such a Joe-Joe existed.
