Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Congrats to CJ!

Ooh, Perkins, that sounds delish!

I was worried that I had put too much peppercorn in my stew, but I realized that it was because I hadn't eaten anything but fruit all day and I was attempting to devour the stew while it was still in its molten lava stage.

I bought some Bob's Red Mill Organic Whole Wheat Flour the other day, and used that to thicken the stew. It says on the package that the flour keeps best refrigerated or frozen. Anyone refrigerate their crunchy granola hippie flour?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Way to go, CJ!

Emmett and I just watched Get Me To the Greek on DVD again.

It's very funny and merits rewatch. Plus Elisabeth Moss is kind of adorable insisting on a threeway.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Anyone refrigerate their crunchy granola hippie flour?

I do. The natural oils can go rancid.

Also I do because I use very little flour and I don't have to worry about bugs if I store it there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had goat cheese on naan, and am now trying to decide what picture to draw.

Bare feet. They're tricky to draw and you like them anyway.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yep. Like Cass said, the oils can make it go rancid.

I'm going to mix up some Jello pudding tonight for breakfast tomorrow and the next few days.

What y'all just said about flour going rancid makes me glad I'm tossing out my old flour and sugar.

Huh. Good to know, thanks! Well, I've also got some Bob's Red Mill polenta and bulgur that probably should go in the refrigerator with the flour.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I just refrigerate all my flour b/c there's always more space in the fridge.
