If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Kathy! Good to see you.

I ALWAYS gain back weight when I eat what I think of as a "normal" diet. It's not me, it's that my idea of normal is just not good for me. Too much food, too much sugar, too many carbs.

My normal has shifted, somewhat. What I think of as a reasonable meal is not what it used to be, and there are some things that just don't even appeal anymore.

That said, it's an ongoing thing. I've been slipping recently, and put back on about 10-15 of what I lost. Pasta has crept back into my diet, though bread not so much. Cheeses I'm still okay on - I adore parmesan and eat too much of it, and really good cheeses I am powerless against. But supermarket cheese holds no appeal anymore. Fried things are hard to say no to, though.

Which is why I'm looking at WW again.

For me, it was just about what I stock in my house and make it as thoughtless as possible, because I don't like thinking about food when I am hungry.

This is so key.

I like baking cookies. But I don't really eat them. Luckily, I have guinea pigs galore now!)

Heh. I love cooking and baking, and a lot of times by the time I'm done cooking I don't actually want to eat any. (Which doesn't mean I didn't eat dough or whatever in the process.) I bring a lot of shit into work, which is like best of both worlds.

My home internet is down, and my phone is cranky. I have fucking had it with the Cliq. I love Android, but this hardware is for the birds. This is my third phone and suddenly the attitude detector thingy isn't working. I just fired it up this morning and sent the old one back at noon! But it is the only Android phone at TMobile with a keyboard, dammit.

I've got the G2, which I love in some ways but don't in others. Let me know if you want to hear more.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hi, Kathy! I'm glad things went well.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Hi, Kathy! Good to see you!

I lost 30+ lbs on WW about 4 or 5 years ago, and have kept it off. I've regained about 6 lbs over the past few months, and I know exactly why. I need to get back to going for a daily walk (or using the exercise bike), and I need to keep a better eye on my portion sizes. It's just hard to get back into that routine.

Think I have my catsitting for Xmas all sorted out. But they are the same ones who just covered my ass at TG . I got both a good bottles of Prosecco and cookies, but I feel like I want to do more for Xmas, since I've bribed them with a bottle of wine in the past. Suggestions? What would be a good gift for a couple with 2 kids under 7 and a newly married couple just returned from honeymoon?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, Time Warner. How wide is wide? I need company for my misery.

I think I would need to jailbreak the G2 for TMobile. How come I'm so alone in sucking so hard at onscreen keyboards that I refuse to use them? How is the phone?

My only issue with jailbreaking a phone is about how I would keep the OS up to date. Which isn't an issue with the Cliq, since it is at 1.6 when the rest of the world is past two.

Just watched the season finale of Terriers. Tim hasn't changed a bit.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Not alone, dude. I need tactile, man.

Tim hasn't changed a bit.

And also, this is a true fact.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Speaking of cat-sitting, we've arranged for a local pet business to come in and feed that cats. In the meantime, Taz's bladder crystals have reared their ugly head and now we're nervous about leaving him for 4 days. The vet said we could board him at their office, but I really do not want to do that to him.

It's not weird to think that the pet place would have some medical abilities? Like, I could pay a little extra for him/her to hang out beyond the feeding time just to see if Taz goes into the litterbox several times an hour?

No, I'm on TMO.

One thing I love about the phone is Swype typing. So awesome. I got it because I didn't want to be without the keyboard option, but with Swype I pretty much never use it. Still, it's there. And it's a QWERTY.

ETA: Swype, you just drag your finger across the touchscreen keyboard for the word you want - you don't hit the keys individually. It takes a little getting used to but once you do it's super fast and very accurate.

Nora, whenever I leave the cats, I contact my vet and let them know that if some stranger (named or not) needs to bring in Mister Kitty for whatever reason, I'm good for the bill and they are ok with that. Or any other of my cats, but MK is the one most likely. I show the sitters where the carriers are and offer to reimburse for the time and trauma.

In my case, I know someone will be over every 12 hours (or more often, E's daughter loves MK and Loki's friendliness, so they do a lot of visits) and that's sufficient.
