"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hey, brenda! Looks like we`re on plan B already! We`re at the hotel but can`t check in until later. Can we do 5 still, but at the hotel restaurant? It`s Aurelio`s, 506 W. Harrison. I think we`re going to do our running around now.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Alright. Got my dad a quilted flannel shirt at JCPenney. Got myself a quilted western shirt at Shepler's (JCPenney didn't have anything in my size at that price). I feel pretty pleased to have gotten him something I'm reasonably sure he'll wear at a price 1/3 below what they're going for other places. It could still turn out that he doesn't like the color or pattern or something. He's not that picky, though. He gets cold so easily, despite being very athletic and in good shape, that he'll wear almost anything if it keeps him warm.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Whoa, my savory bread pudding leftover stuffing muffins (Hereinafter: Stuffin' Muffins) smell amazing.

You know that put me into a Mojo Nixon place, right?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Not just you, Spidra.

Heh. I was singing the song as I typed it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Awesome, Theo!

I just had brunch with sarameg and my DH, so you may all envy me! We talked houses and cat-walking and general interesting stuff. She is smart and funny and lively and just truly excellent company.

Now I feel like my DH's cold is getting a hold on me, so it is time for a eucalyptus bath and then some comfort TV. He is feeling better and will be smoking a turkey, so dinner tonight will be fabulous!
