Lisa, are you totally excited?

YES! Anxious about everything coming together and whatnot but am super excited for the night and, especially, to be marrying Bob.

Things I still need to do: find a lipstick (the one my friend who is doing my makeup used on me today for my makeup trial I wasn't 100% pleased withh) and, um... WRITE MY VOWS! Also, put together the centerpieces but I'm not that worried about that.

So very cool! I'm always on the hunt for good lipstick.

My intention to make cranberry curd and lemon curd where thwarted today.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

WRITE MY VOWS!

They should be done in the style of a Death Metal song complete with umlauts and Swedish intonation and Cookie Monster voice. That would rock.

Oh maybe makeup people would have ideas, there was a lippy by Chanel called Vamp that is no longer made. That would be my ideal wedding lipstick according to my makeup lady. The one she used today had the right color but it hardly lasted at all. I'm wondering if there is one close to Vamp-color that I could get at a Sephora or if there is like a Mac one or what.

This was the makeup inspiration:

LOVE that picture! I have no advice on the lipstick front as I am makeup-disabled.

Kat - will let you know once I get all my scanning done. I have over 55 pictures but the way I want to group them I'm only up to 30 pages and there can be 40. Going through a few more boxes to see what I can find.

They don't make Vamp anymore?? Huh. I bet Jilli would have a rec.

Buh buh buh? Vamp is no longer in production?

runs to Google

Good lord, I had no idea. Good thing I still have a tube of it stashed away. I'm still kind of agog, because Vamp was a basic color for me for years.

I'm wondering if there is one close to Vamp-color that I could get at a Sephora or if there is like a Mac one or what.

Hey, I can answer this question! Lipsticks that are very close to Vamp: "Homegirl" by Kat von D (I know, I cringe at the name), or MAC "Hang Up" or "Dubonnet".
