They don't make Vamp anymore?? Huh. I bet Jilli would have a rec.

there was a lippy by Chanel called Vamp that is no longer made.
Buh buh buh? Vamp is no longer in production?
runs to Google
Good lord, I had no idea. Good thing I still have a tube of it stashed away. I'm still kind of agog, because Vamp was a basic color for me for years.
I'm wondering if there is one close to Vamp-color that I could get at a Sephora or if there is like a Mac one or what.
Hey, I can answer this question! Lipsticks that are very close to Vamp: "Homegirl" by Kat von D (I know, I cringe at the name), or MAC "Hang Up" or "Dubonnet".
I am back from my (2nd annual?) pilgrimage down south to break turkey with the PixDesigns. A fabulous time was had, Slings & Arrows Season 1 was watched, and the cats plotting was thwarted. A win-win-win!
Yay! And yes, Thanksgiving isn't Thanksgiving without you. I think that game we played Thursday night must also be part of the tradition.
I knew it!
Loves the buffistas!Of course. THANK YOU, JILLI!(and, sorry to break the bad news about vamp)
Another lip question! How do I make mine less chapped for my wedding?
Also, NARS "Scarlet Empress" is a nice dark red-wine. I've been told that Make Up Forever's "48" (satin blackcurrant) is very close to Vamp, but I haven't tried it yet.
Use a lot of Chapstick between now and then?
ha! Jesse you are probably right. I have an exfoliator for lips but I don't think it really works.
ooh Nars is my favorite for lips. I will definitely be checking those out!
My collection of lipsticks that are not-quite-exact-duplicates for Vamp takes up a couple of makeup organizers. I may have a bit of a problem.
How to make your lips less chapped? Drink lots and lots of water, and apply some sort of hydrating lip goo every night before bed. (I tend to use straight jojoba or olive oil.) Also, make your own lip scrub by mixing up a spoonful of sugar with about a teaspoon of olive oil; gently rub that onto your lips, then rinse it off with warm water.
Really, I am constantly putting stuff on my lips. Especially before bed!
