And I myself will be wearing pink taffeta as chenille would not go with my complexion.

My SIL went to WalMart in the middle of the night, since the kids kept her up anyway. I still think it is crazy.

Little kids like seeing pictures of other little kids. It's kinda fascinating. Also, like to see where your trash trucks drive. Or maybe that is one kid in particular.

Whew. Friend who came to dinner did not get ill, so I will blame it on the migraine. And will eat the leftovers.

I did midnight shopping the first year I was out here in Seattle...it was insane, and not that big a bargain. I have never since.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Leftover stuffing = best breakfast ever. Kids are now consuming the last of the Satsumas, so I'll need to go out to buy more.

DH is going to butterfly and grill a turkey this weekend

That's pretty bad ass.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have shopped. Only 3 stores and nothing too crazy. Lunch of leftovers = win. Now going to set up a playdate for mac and get a list of chores done at the house. Tomorrow I really want to do some Christmas decorating and some sewing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hec, have you seen these Emma Thompson pictures?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

She's so gorgeous anyway, I knew she'd be gorgeous without hair. She has nice hair, though.

Yay for halfway, perkins! That's an important milestone.

Quick recovery wished to Khusband. (Nilly!)

And Happy Birthday to DJ, wherever you are (still in India?)

Not going anywhere near retail today. I have cleaning and reading to do. And a dvr to clear. I'm good.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, have you seen these Emma Thompson pictures?

Mmmm, that's when she was growing her hair out from doing Wit.

Thanks! (You know she shaved her head when she was in college too. Sniff, she's so perfect.)

Let me take a second to pimp the HBO version of Angels in America for anyone who hasn't seen it. She's a super sexy angel.

She's also quite sexy in one of her earliest film roles, The Tall Guy. (Another short hair era for her.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You know, I have very few celebrity crushes but Emma is probably my current fav.

The only other ones I remember were: Aly Hannigan (Buffy era only, though), Debra Winger and Suzanne Pleshette.

Little Thompson movie I love, The Winter Guest. Her mother, Phyllida Law, plays her mom, Sean Biggerstaff has a nice juvenile role, and it's extremely atmospheric, with an amazing quality of light. Directed by Alan Rickman.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emma in the Winter Guest - a little darker hair for her than usual. But a length I like.

A fetching, fair Emma in The Tall Guy sexing it up with Jeff Goldblum.

...and a red-headed Emma to complete the set.
