Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Because books.

We're slounging pretty aggressively. Later the cousins will come over to play, and tonight we're doing dinner here, but other than that I am going to Sit and not clean things and maybe finish reading my book.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, noes. Two guys from my extended team just showed up. Sadness. Extreme sense of isolation is gone.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Not all the way home--I am eating breakfast and then if my energy holds out I will make a couple of stops on the way home and then commence the slounge

Because books.

I love to shop, but I can't imagine going today. The traffic alone would make me crazy.

Eh, extended team, ita. That's like third cousins. Draw anyway.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Nilly, I hope Khusband recovers easily.

Happy Black Friday. I fell asleep at 10 and slept until 7:30 (guess I was tired). Just about to take the dog for a walk, but I thought I would share this to brighten your day:

So awesome. I may have to put Tapeheads on my Netflix queue; it's been years.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We're up at Chez Zmayhem. Except Emmett.

Nana slept over and will be making French Toast for breakfast.

I drove EM home last night and came back, and dismembered my large turkey, and put the carcass in a stock pot and boiled it down to something I can use for gravy or soup.

Happy birthday, Daisy!

Heal-ma for Khusband!

Halfway there, Perkins - Huzzah!

Okay, that's all the enthusiasm I can muster so far.

I might need to eat pie before I have French toast.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I have no money, so Black Friday is just a day with more spam in my junk mail, and more ham in my fridge, to me.

I plan on doing some practical things, assuming the people I need to contact are open, and then cleaning up the kitchen a bit, and prepping my mind and clothese for my interview tomorrow.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am at work. Despite YEARS of my arguing this point with management as HR person, we still don't give this day off. I am going to see HP7 after work, though, so that will rock.

T-day with friends was great fun. There was one tense moment, when the elderly mom of our hostess dropped in passing that Alice McDermott won the national book award because there was another catholic on the jury that year and they "stick together." That was a real conversation stopper. DH is going to butterfly and grill a turkey this weekend, so I get second T-day and some leftovers.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Quick recovery~ma for your khusband, Nilly!

The in-laws and I are heading over to the cheese factory today to buy cheese and butter. Because that's what we do in Wisconsin.
