Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving.

My plans got derailed due to my being kind of sick and not wanting to do a round trip to PA and back in one day while hopped up on cold meds. I will miss seeing my family, but staying home is definitely the right choice today. Oy. Plus work issues which require my presence sooner than I had hoped tomorrow, so... solo T-Day it is.

One of my roommates left me a little turkey-and-stuffing-for-one thingie. Random that she had it, and very sweet of her to offer it up. And there's a pumpkin pie in the fridge, so that's my plan. Well, and a run to 7-11 for some liquids. And chocolate.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Good idea, Trudy. Searching now...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

For anyone who was interested in that sausage dip. No water and also a small can of green chilis. The ratio of cheese to meat is 1:1 so half lb. sausage, half lb. other meat and 1 lb velveeta. yummy goodness.

I stupidly bought 2 can of evaporated milk instead of 1 of evap and 1 of sweetened condensed. So no lemon pie for my dad unless I stop on the way over.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Happy Thanksgiving!

So far, I've made squash casserole and green bean casserole. Still need to make bread pudding and mashed potatoes. Also ate a bunch of the crispy onions that didn't go into the green bean casserole.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!

I got up at 7:30 (a nice reasonable hour) and went running in the woods with my sister, and then came back and played with my brother's little boys a little, and made the stuffing, and now the turkey is in the oven and I'm back at my house for a shower and a rest before going back up the hill for more cooking.

I am a bit worried: I over-garliced the stuffing. I added a bunch more of the mix and cran-raisins and chicken broth, but I'm worried nobody will eat it. The garlic will mellow while it's in the oven for 5 hours, right? Stuffing is one of the best parts of Thanksgiving, I don't want to ruin it! ::sigh::

I have 200 lbs of dog in my house now because one of our guests is allergic and besides we will have two toddlers and an infant and adding a bunch of canine to that seems a bit much.

Meara, I hope your pie came out awesome! I made mine non-dairy (Silk instead of creamer, and Nature's Balance for the crust), but I've done that before and it comes out fine. (And marginally more healthy I guess.)

Oh, with regards to The Good Wife:

I hate Zach SO MUCH. What a stupid kid! ARGH.

Diane is being scheming and delightful. I loved that she told Eli about the wire-tapping, which I'm sure means he will figure out what Alicia was trying to tell him earlier.

I expected the voicemail to come back at some point, but not like that. Fascinating. Chicago politics is such a small town, I guess.

As for Kalinda, I really want her to reach out for help. Why is she only going to Cory? Because she doesn't think of him as a friend and only has a mercantile relationship with him? Why not tell Alicia what's going on? Or Diane? I mean, seriously: one of the partners (who is not Will) needs to find out about Blake.

As for Will, shouldn't he know about Blake anyway? I wonder if this is something Diane will or could use in her move to split the firm: she could probably take Will down if she chooses to, with that information about Blake and the therapist he put in a coma.

Jackie remains Jackie: simultaneously aweful and cringe-worthy. I do look forward to Eli's reaction to Becca's interference, though.
