Very convincing. Makes me completely want to put myself under government control. Please take me to where you can make me unconscious and naked.

We just finished open enrollment also. Our health costs go up in January and to be that part of your year end raise covered the added cost. Last year they shifted the start of our year end raises to the end of the 1st quarter, so now we have three months of a lower net paycheck before the raise kicks in. Do not like.

Must get going in the kitchen.

Because books.

Ah. And yes! I hope so, anyway.

Coding and Sleeping

I'm going to two Thanksgiving dinners. Somehow I need to cook a dish for the second one during the first one.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Somehow I need to cook a dish for the second one during the first one.

Steal it.

Man, why do we have to work a full day today? It doesn't seem right.

Health insurance sucks. My company is owned by a health insurance company, and they give us shitty insurance. It's ridiculous.

I am going crazy with so many days at home, no plans (unable to really go out Monday or Tuesday because of the snowstorm) and vacation! I have some work I should be doing, but not so much that I'm ...actually doing it. :)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

After telling Jesse not to go, I wound up in Whole Foods today anyway. But I managed to get in and out in five minutes by buying a chai and checking out at the coffee bar instead of waiting in the regular express line (which went halfway around the store).

I ran out of flour. Luckily CJ was willing to hop on his bike and go to the store for me.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I hate driving in snow, so won't shop until Friday because it supposed to break late Tday here.

Yes that means I will be shopping Black Friday. Oh well, since I am shopping for electronics maybe will get a bargain. Since my netbook died and my main computer is dying. I compromised on a $175 netbook that is still faster and has more capacity than my current main computer. Got data transferred, but I need a monitor since I can't use a netbook screen as main screen. Even with new screen cheaper than new desktop, let alone desktop plus notebook. When money is less scarce I'll invest in a current computer. But a netbook with XPhome as more power and is faster in practice than my current ancient main computer so gets me through and lets me keep doing my work. I'll need to be damn virtuous with my backups though.
