Ha, I am descended from John and Priscilla Alden, too.

Boy was the European population of Massachusetts small in the 17th century.

I don't have Mayflower people, but I've got people from the next couple of boats. Yay, bigoted Gov. Endicott! And his Quaker nemesises. Nemesi? What is the plural of nemesis, or is the point that you shouldn't have more than one?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just found out that there was a Hoarders episode filming RIGHT HERE in LA and I MISSED IT.

My love for Hoarders is unholy. I've always wanted to go and gawk and get my picture taken with the 1-800-GOT-JUNK people.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that one of my early Keay ancestors married one of the daughters of somebody who came over on the Mayflower but either died on board ship or something - so doesn't count towards Mayflower ancestry. (Because the daughters arrived on a later ship.)

ETA: found it - descended from Francis Cooke. My Great-grandfather's obit from the Sons of the Revolution.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We just had a baby shower for the guy in my department whose wife is pregnant, and a coworker brought champagne! Yay! zzzzz

Although another coworker just described our department as a dysfunctional family, which is 100% true.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Gud, I can relate. Cal took back some of my FSA. They asked me for a receipt (which I'm pretty sure I already gave them) but didn't ask me for it until nearly a year later. By which time I had to sell my house and move. I finally called up Costco Pharmacy and got proof but it was past the arbitrary deadline and no amount of proof would save me. Luckily, it was a small amount. But it still pissed me off.

Haven't walked or biked today. I'm working on a sekrit home demo version of some WB songs to issue as a bonus EP for folks who buy my album. Did a version I liked the night before but decided I needed to sing the extra verses so I tried again today. Just playing the bass line on a MIDI keyboard tired me out and the more tired I got, the more mistakes I made. I was thoroughly exhausted by the time I got the tracks all recorded. I'd like to nap now, in fact.

Actually, I'm resisting the urge to take a hot bath because I'm so chilled. And feeling slightly guilty because it's only in the 50s here and I'm sure many folks here live in places where it's 30s or lower.
