Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just found out that there was a Hoarders episode filming RIGHT HERE in LA and I MISSED IT.

My love for Hoarders is unholy. I've always wanted to go and gawk and get my picture taken with the 1-800-GOT-JUNK people.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that one of my early Keay ancestors married one of the daughters of somebody who came over on the Mayflower but either died on board ship or something - so doesn't count towards Mayflower ancestry. (Because the daughters arrived on a later ship.)

ETA: found it - descended from Francis Cooke. My Great-grandfather's obit from the Sons of the Revolution.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We just had a baby shower for the guy in my department whose wife is pregnant, and a coworker brought champagne! Yay! zzzzz

Although another coworker just described our department as a dysfunctional family, which is 100% true.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Gud, I can relate. Cal took back some of my FSA. They asked me for a receipt (which I'm pretty sure I already gave them) but didn't ask me for it until nearly a year later. By which time I had to sell my house and move. I finally called up Costco Pharmacy and got proof but it was past the arbitrary deadline and no amount of proof would save me. Luckily, it was a small amount. But it still pissed me off.

Haven't walked or biked today. I'm working on a sekrit home demo version of some WB songs to issue as a bonus EP for folks who buy my album. Did a version I liked the night before but decided I needed to sing the extra verses so I tried again today. Just playing the bass line on a MIDI keyboard tired me out and the more tired I got, the more mistakes I made. I was thoroughly exhausted by the time I got the tracks all recorded. I'd like to nap now, in fact.

Actually, I'm resisting the urge to take a hot bath because I'm so chilled. And feeling slightly guilty because it's only in the 50s here and I'm sure many folks here live in places where it's 30s or lower.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Yum, everyone's plans sounds so good! Mine is pretty traditional, but I am making my kick-ass ham, among other things. The menu's here: [link]

And had a small break, and now to clean SOME MORE OF THE THINGS!

So, Wills and Kate are getting married on April 29th. A Friday, which I have off! I plan to get the popcorn and watch.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My plans are to clean the hell out of my apartment between now and 11:00 Thanksgiving morning, then drive down to Dad's for the big meal at 1:00 and then to pick up Mom at Midway around 5:00. Dad called to see what he can provide for me, and I just told him to give me raw veggies and a salad, and I'll be okay.

I took a half-day PTO today so I could have my pre-op appointment with my primary care doctor, after which I went to IKEA and finally got the chair bed for Mom to sleep on. It's still in the trunk, because I also stopped by the pet store for Amarna's supplies and then at Walgreens for the beta-blocker the doctor prescribed to bring down my BP for my surgery. I brought up the cat stuff, but just have to schlep back down tonight and get the IKEA stuff out of the trunk (I use my wheely computer chair to transport heavy boxes like the chair frame).

Tomorrow morning, I have to head over the clinic at the hospital for one last blood draw before work, and then get things wrapped up there before heading home and finishing off my cleaning.

The only reason I'm online right now instead of cleaning is that I'm actually about an hour ahead of schedule (IKEA was a lot faster to get in and out of than I thought it'd be), so I'm relaxing--I'm really tired!!
