Sounds like it's heading in the direction it needs, to SuziQ. I hope the talk goes well. I'm glad the dojo took it seriously because they should.
Natter 67: Overriding Vetoes
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
aurelia, the 16-year-old is probably ready for some Stephen King, too, if he hasn't tried it already.
Suzi, I'm glad they have the dojo sort of overseeing it. And fingers crossed for a good talk tomorrow.
I think we need to make a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, and someone else is bringing a pecan pie. And then I'm making turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, and roasted veggies. And a ham for my MiL. I figure if folks want anything else, they can bring it themselves.
Suzi, I'm glad this is getting some serious attention. I hope it works itself out.
I think marshmallow fluff on top of sweet potatoes sounds intriguing, but why would it be better than actual marshmallows?
I have no idea what anything marshmellow is doing near vegetables. I do not understand these strange American customs.
Suzi, it's good that it's being taken seriously by so many people. Stabbings, rarely trivial. Even if not serious.
Ugh. I just creeped myself out. I totally maintained and encouraged eye contact with a door to door vendor--I need to do that with my boss, not the lady selling discount dry cleaning. So of course she tried to sell hard, because she thinks she has me on the hook, but I'm waving my hands making cutesy "no more!" noises to get her to away.
Not my finest hour. But according to her, my adorablest. So, you know, there's that.

Ooh, good call. I might try World War Z, too.
I'm googling all the other suggestions. FYI, when googling Storm Front, include the author name.
Thanks all. I just want this over. We had waited for the school to do their part and it didn't resolve anything between the boys.

In talking with our Sensei this evening, she pointed out that in 4 years, the stakes are much higher than anything going on for the 14 year olds now.
Is "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" a regionalism? I surprised someone with it today.
I think it's pretty common, though often shortened.
