Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I thought the point was that short hair didn't have to be butch

Oh, I went the other way. (That's what she said.)

Do you want non-traditional Thanksgiving or new Thanksgiving-ish ideas, David?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Hmm, I'm in the hospital on free wi-fi, and I think they possibly have LJ blocked. Or the site is down.

I suppose I shouldn't complain, since the hospital actually has free wifi in the patients' rooms.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, I figured. It looked more like blocking than site outage. I am tempted to poke the rest of the internet to see what else might be blocked.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hair poster for Hec.

Let this trend flourish. Both meara and I will be happy.

I think it's hysterical that the black women there have more dykey hair than I do. Given that on my most well-groomed days I have about the least hair ever. It's not how much you have, it's what you do with it.

Also, I'm pretty sure that I will never be able to think of the fauxhawk (especially dyed) as a straight woman's haircut. I just...my brain won't wrap itself around that. It's very narrow that way.

But I'd be terribly disappointed if suddenly there were all these hot hot girls out there and they WEREN"T GAY!! I mean, it'd be like getting a bunch of chocolate and finding out it was secretly CAROB.

I trust in your ability to pull hot hot girls of any persuasion.

Because books.

Even when my hair is its shortest, I never feel dykey, really. More like a five-year-old boy.
