"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Allyson, at Once Upon a Time?

My horn is growing. I do think I am a unicorn. This sucks.

Watch: [link] Sorry for the crazy washed out first 4 seconds. But ohmigod. She's walking. Outside. On her ownish. Holy shit.

Also, we've learned that all of those irritating noise making toys that we thought she liked because they light up (and for her it's randomly). Um. She knows her letters. And her shapes. There's a person in there. If only she could communicate out better.

I spent the evening in Urgent Care with Noah. A little kid stole his cheese and then hit me. I looked around and said, "Um. Could whoever belongs to this kid control him?" And my forehead hurts.

And what's with all the carrots?

Love my Garmin..I just wish it would automatically figure out when I am downtown Spokane I do not need directions for the seafood place to begin in Omaha!

My body clock has finally adjusted to west coast time, which means I fly back home tomorrow. 4 a.m. alarm. Need I say more?

Compassionately intolerant

She's walking. Outside. On her ownish.

That's incredible! Yay ambulatory Grace. And how wonderful to discover that there is learning going on for her. Fantastic.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Had a Garmin nuvi and Magellan, both were fine. Although the Garmin's battery stopped charging after two years or so.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Love the vid of Grace walking around. Not at all surprised that she knows her letters and her shapes.

We need a proper GPS but for now we just use the free iPhone app.

In me news, the USPS is lying and saying it tried to deliver my nail polish to me today--at a time when I was in the house no less! And they are also lying and saying they left a notice--if so it disappeared. I am annoyed, mostly because I WANT that polish, but also because now I have to go pick it up myself just because the postal worker is being a lazy ass.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to say, I'm not looking forward to a) going into the smelly office again tomorrow and b) running out of pain meds early. No response today from the doc. And if he tells me to work less....there will be grump.

Smelly office without pain meds is reason enough for grump.

Hey ita, I'd love to try to pick up that tivo this weekend, if there's a good time for you. Some time when it won't increase the grump.
