Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Have I mentioned yet how much I love Wisconsin?

Heh.

He felt Palin was not a good dancer.

Did you know lots of conservative blogs are asking people to go and place lots of votes for Palin? (There's a flaw in the voting software that allows this.) They're doing this because it "enrages liberals." I think it's kinda' funny - from what I've read, she's obviously not a great dancer, but people still keep voting for her.

I imagine that this is a very small set compared to the number of liberals who don't give a sh*t.

ITA.

eta: I think all this ballot-stuffing for Palin just goes to show Tea Party folks still are not living in the reality-based community. For them, actual dancing skill doesn't matter, not when compared to the desire for "their side" to win.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

That's an interesting site, bon. Of course, I'd have to decide whose style I actually like *and* would fit with my body/wardrobe.

I'm having fun going through the categories and determining what I love/hate. It seems like you might like Karen Millen: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It seems like you might like Karen Millen

That lingerie dress is AMAZING. But I can't find it on the Karen Millen site. eta: Which is for the best.

Construction is slated to go on till the end of the year. I haven't been able to talk to my boss yet, but someone else has suggested an air purifier to me. And another person suggested working from home. Yeah, that's gonna fly long term. But I am googling purifiers. Maybe I can pick one up on my way home.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Ooh, that is an interesting site, bon. I'll have to do more poking around on it.

I do think there is a disconnect. I get the impression that vocal Palin supporters think that detractors dislike her for personal reasons. While many of most detractors are more concerned about basic competence "Really? You want this person to run things?"

I do think she has a very good chance of getting the GOP presidential nomination. They need to keep her out of open-ended encounters with reporters, but I think that's easy enough to do. She's a good debater, she can stay on message and avoid addressing specific points well. Before I'd always thought there would be a more... serious candidate that would emerge, but I starting to think that might not be the case.

Oh, I was referring to the Palin daughter (forgot her name) on Dancing with the Stars... but I agree with your post.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Honestly, I don't think a lot of liberals watch the show. I continue to be horrified that it is the #1 show in America. I find it horrendous when I've seen it.

Bristol. I knew you were talking about her, but I think supporters see the vote as a proxy for personal approval of the mother.
