"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

To be fair to Hec, that was kind of how io9 presented the clip ("remember the Tick guy? He wrote an episode of Supernatural!").

That's what fooled me.

Because books.

I still thing Nightshifter was Edlund's best hour of TV ever.

Now I have to go listen to "Renegade."

The cookbook I'm reading is being weird. "Vanilla chips" are just white chocolate chips, right? Why not just say so? Stop vaguing it up, people.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I used to love red velvet cake. Then one year we decided to make one for my birthday. It took pretty much an entire bottle of red food coloring and then was still more of a pink velvet cake.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was afraid it was going to be the "killing potentially innocent people" one

I cannot BELIEVE you dislike Croatoan. Okay, I get your objections, but they don't harsh my love in the least.

Now I have to go listen to "Renegade."

I had that in my head for a solid day, until "Angel Of The Morning" took over.

"Vanilla chips" are just white chocolate chips, right?

I don't think so. I've never come across vanilla chips, but that's a different flavour from white chocolate.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I make red velvet cake with extra cocoa, no food dye, and cinnamon. It just ends up like spiced chocolate cake and i love it. spoiled me forever for commercially made red velvet that tends to taste more like food dye than cake, IMO.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Red #4 is nummy!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Red M&Ms are still very weird to me. I want to pick them out and toss them. But that would be a waste of chocolate.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm not sure I see the point of red food coloring in a red velvet cake. I mean, it's red velvet cake, obviously, but why not just skip it? You get a nice brown cake.

I am at the airport, waiting for my first flight. I love my tiny airport when there's no one in it. Also, checked a bag containing my stuff plus some stuff for my husband, who will join us next week. Under 50 pounds! It was a near thing.
