Yesterday I finally organized/filed my bills from this and last year. (They'd been living in big heaps and a box on the living room coffee table. I have a very tolerant roommate.) You'd think that with this much free time, I'd have gotten around to it by now... oh well.
In a few more minutes, I'm getting dressed and leaving for... WORK! Not a "forever job" (do those mythical creatures even exist these days?) but one that will take more than room temperature IQ and pay me real money, too.
My online time will probably be drastically cut, so I'll be catching up now and then.
According to Nilly's post yesterday, today is sumi's birthday.
So Happy Birthday sumi!
Good luck Theo!
And, UGH Allyson! This is why I'm weird about getting pedicures.
Go and ensure that amputation is off the table!
Happy birthday, Sumi!
YAY for Job!Theo!!
Today is not shaping up well. I feel funny in my tummy, my boss's sister died yesterday, and all of the computers were acting strange this morning. I would like a do-over.
Thanks, guys.
And owwwww, Allyson - that's not a happy spa day.
Got ready for work, threw the boy in the car since he was already running late for school. Dropped him off late just as the snow was starting to fall. Turned around and drove back home to work from home. Really need to get the snow tires on the car.
Basically ended up giving my cup of tea and my laptop a ride around the neighborhood before settling down to work. Should turn the fireplace on.
Happy birthday, Sumi! Stress-free and treatful, that's my wish for you.
Erin, if you can stand the squirminess of explaining your financial situation to complete strangers, it might be worth going in or writing a letter to ask for a reduction in the ticket fee. At least, I know that San Francisco has a lot of stupidly punitive ticket hardassery and yet even so will sometimes write down or off excess fees for people who really need it.
And $600 is a crazy amount. That's like, what, half a mortgage payment? A month's worth of groceries? A month of child support or daycare or a year's worth of kid clothes? Tie it to something concrete and pressing in your lives that any sane person would agree has to be a priority.
And good luck storming the castle. (Hec's about to go storm our own over the ridiculous tow fee for the LEGALLY PARKED car; we'll show you our ~ma if you show us yours.)
This morning`s train intrigue...a lady left her laptop on her seat in coach and went to breakfast and when she returned it was missing! Return it no questions asked to the dining car or there will be repercussions!
We are still running pretty late. Odds are we`re going to miss our connection to Indy and get stuck in Chicago overnight.
