And you're sure this isn't just some fanboy thing? 'Cause I've fought more than a couple pimply, overweight vamps that called themselves Lestat.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Sumi!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Got ready for work, threw the boy in the car since he was already running late for school. Dropped him off late just as the snow was starting to fall. Turned around and drove back home to work from home. Really need to get the snow tires on the car.

Basically ended up giving my cup of tea and my laptop a ride around the neighborhood before settling down to work. Should turn the fireplace on.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy birthday, sumi!!!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Happy birthday, Sumi! Stress-free and treatful, that's my wish for you.

Erin, if you can stand the squirminess of explaining your financial situation to complete strangers, it might be worth going in or writing a letter to ask for a reduction in the ticket fee. At least, I know that San Francisco has a lot of stupidly punitive ticket hardassery and yet even so will sometimes write down or off excess fees for people who really need it.

And $600 is a crazy amount. That's like, what, half a mortgage payment? A month's worth of groceries? A month of child support or daycare or a year's worth of kid clothes? Tie it to something concrete and pressing in your lives that any sane person would agree has to be a priority.

And good luck storming the castle. (Hec's about to go storm our own over the ridiculous tow fee for the LEGALLY PARKED car; we'll show you our ~ma if you show us yours.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This morning`s train intrigue...a lady left her laptop on her seat in coach and went to breakfast and when she returned it was missing! Return it no questions asked to the dining car or there will be repercussions!

We are still running pretty late. Odds are we`re going to miss our connection to Indy and get stuck in Chicago overnight.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, sumi!

Oh, Allyson. Do you need ER? Or might urgent care be cheaper and faster?

I have officially been hit with the crap stick this morning. If I blame bon, at least I think it should be short-lived. But I'm sniffling and headaching and feeling grotty like nobody's business. I need to call in.

Timelies.

Condolences for Dana, so sorry for your loss. ETA and Daniel too.

I called in sick today. On day 8 of feeling vaguely queasy, light-headed and exhausted. I probably could have gone to work but since I'm still feeling this way after two days off I decided "Fuck It! I'm taking another day." Thankfully I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon.

Many birthday happies, sumi, with cake!

I'm sorry for your loss, Dana, and for yours, Daniel.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm so sorry for your loss, Dana. Daniel too.

...

Here is a Lisa, representing! Sleepily. Oh! I went to talk to the fancy flower lady yesterday and she will work it all out for me. I'm excited to see what she comes up with! It won't be strictly wintery, I don't think, but what she has planned sounds pretty and different. There will be ranunculus and tulips and some kind of carnation something that is like "moss on a stick" for a pop on green.
