Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, Dylan's cold has migrated to me, so I'm on the couch clutching my phone in one hand and a cup of tea in the other. Blech.

Let him know for next year that that is NOT an appropriate birthday present.

Awesome, Aims!!

Sounds fun, Liese!

I think I just kind of pulled one over on soap.com. I had a Groupon, but it wasn't working, so I called customer service, and she put the credit in from her end. So I figured let's see if I can still get the new cusotomer discount as well, and I could! The pulling-over would be that I'm not sure if I was technically supposed to be able to use that and the Groupon. They can charge me back the $5 if they want, I guess!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Liese, I love your glamorous train life! We have the ick here too. Blargh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have to go outside so I can get the one additional quarter I need to do the Hated Laundry. I think it's time to move to flannel sheets, although it was gorgeous yesterday!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday ChiKat!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I think if you're sick but have to travel, a sleeper car is the way to do it!

I only ever got to ride a sleeper car once, and I was too tired/stressed by the con I'd been at that I only dozed a little. These days I'm armed with anti-anxiety and sleep-inducing medicine, not to mention wonders like iPods and laptops that can run WiFi and play DVDs. Truly we live in an age of wonders.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, ChiKat!

I am also envious of Liese's glamorous train travel. It sounds fun, eating quiche on a train.

That reminds me, should take the kids on the train again. We went to San Diego once, which was nice. I'm thinking San Juan Capistrano would be a good destination. The train depot there is very cute, and we could take the kids to see the Mission.

I am loving my peacock purple nails. I try to keep them polished, but I'm usually too busy/lazy to be consistent.

not your mom's socks.

Happy Birthday ChiKat!!

Liese, please send photos! I'd love to take a train somewhere besides the NEC sometime.

Happy Birthday Chikat!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Aimee, have you seen this shirt?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sleeper cars are awesome! Just kinda' pricy when you're by yourself.

But a two-day trip from Chicago to San Francisco on a train is just so much fun.
