Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Swouncing

Oh, CaBil, I missed *you* on the 5th! (Um, and, yeah, that thing with the pixels keeps going for you, too - how are you doing? and your wife?). I hope you have a great second-week-of-your-new-age (goodness, how late is that?), and that the wonderful coming year has already started!

Also, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is ChiKat's birthday.

Happy birthday, ChiKat! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Also also, since most likely I won't have any computer access tomorrow (at least not before it becomes Tuesday), Monday, the 15th, will be sumi's birthday, so early wishes for her, as well!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I ate goat tonight and it was good. It was highly spiced, so I would not have known it was goat if I hadn't been told.

It was very important that I post that here.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Hi Nilly!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hi Nilly!

I'm starting a full-time, but temporary job on Monday. It's right in Harvard Square, so it's convenient, and the office seems neat. Shame it will end in late January or February, but at least I'm employed and busy for a while. Plus, it's easier to get a job when you have one right now, seriously....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, ChiKat!

Congrats again, Theo.

It's been looming large in my life, let me tell you. I'm probably mentioning it way too often, but it's been far too rare for me to have good life news, or so it seems.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Well, Dylan's cold has migrated to me, so I'm on the couch clutching my phone in one hand and a cup of tea in the other. Blech.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have the ick too. BUT! It is ok because I am on the train and I have eaten a delicious quiche for breakfast free (okay, included in the price but it feels free because I just sign for it like a fancy person.) and I got them to make up my berth already so I can spend most of the day in bed. I could not do this if I were driving or flying, I tell you what. Our sleeper car is close to the dining car which is convenient but means more traffic through, so we`ll see how that goes. But so far so good. I thought for a while the cold might make me miss the trip, but thankfully no.
