Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy birthday, Jessica! And congrats on the money, Jesse!

Time banking sounds interesting.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Good stuff for a Friiday--Grace mobile, Jesse looking Wonder-ful and getting $$$, and Jessimoon's birthday!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There are doughnuts around here somewhere. I'm going on a hunt.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What weapon(s) do you use for a doughnut hunt? Maybe a dowel to "spear" them through their holes?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We're "experiencing network issues." Which apparently means that I can connect to some websites, but not others. I haven't yet figured out what the pattern is. I can get here and most blogs, but not all. I can't get to NY Times or facebook. Gmail works. None of my time-wasting game sites work.

No doughnuts! They might not have defensive capabilities, but their evasive abilities have outfoxed me.

I know they're here somewhere, dammit!

Okay, it's true I don't actually like doughnuts, but that doesn't seem to matter as much when I'm not paying for them.

Off to Starbucks...
