Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I have today off from work, but I still went in to deal with cell lines.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Luckily, I was not made fun of.

TO YOUR FACE!!!! There's a post on a website somewhere mocking you right this moment. Ah, internet, the passive aggression you enable.

Rosario totally outranks Roxanne, so I think we should just retroactively remove whatsername and put Rosario in as whoever she wants to be.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I absolutely LOVE, and so does my dad, Harney & Sons tin of Tower of London tea. It is wonderful, but a little pricey ($12 for 30 sachets) and I get two tins for my dad on Xmas and his bday. It smells...so good. [link]

You can get it at Williams-Sonoma, some Barnes & Nobles, and online.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

OH MANGO. I forgot to tell the internets that I had a satisfactory mango beverage experience: Naked Mighty Mango. It was nom. It was satisfactorily mango, not cloyingly sweet. It was a smoothie, so thick in texture, if that's an issue. And it has other stuff in it too, orange, probably and banana. But it was pretty much just the fruit, so I am content.

Also a coyote saw me this morning. He trotted by the corner of the kennel, stopped to smell the dog smell, I commented on him, and he looked right in the window at me. Looked away as if to say, not worried about you, looked back, and then hopped over the brush piles and was gone.

Re: Banned celebrities. I'll give China banning people for their support of Tibet, but this is out of control

Singer Miley Cyrus was banned from China because the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was upset by pictures the then-Disney star took posing with slanted eyes.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Has anyone done the national geographic genographic project dna thing? I want to get my mom a kit for xmas, but I was wondering if it's all that interesting.

I've done that, but the results were disappointingly vague. "Most of the people with your haplotype have ancestors from northern Europe." Yeah, I knew that already.

I think every sub-Saharan African country (and much of the Caribbean) should ban anyone that's done a blackface photoshoot.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've only seen a coyote once, when it ran in front of my car while I was driving down a road surrounded by cornfields near Morris, IL. It darted past, I looked at my mom who was sitting next to me, and said, "That was no dog, was it?" and she verified it was a coyote. They're a lot smaller than I'd pictured them in my head.

Who's done blackface recently? All I can think of is Ted Danson, when he was dating Whoopi, and C. Thomas Howell in "Soul Man." ::shudder::

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I did! It came back 50% Rottweiler and 50% Miniature Schnauzer.

Wait, I think that was a different cheek swab.
