I've only seen a coyote once, when it ran in front of my car while I was driving down a road surrounded by cornfields near Morris, IL. It darted past, I looked at my mom who was sitting next to me, and said, "That was no dog, was it?" and she verified it was a coyote. They're a lot smaller than I'd pictured them in my head.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Who's done blackface recently? All I can think of is Ted Danson, when he was dating Whoopi, and C. Thomas Howell in "Soul Man." ::shudder::

Has anyone done the national geographic genographic project dna thing? I want to get my mom a kit for xmas, but I was wondering if it's all that interesting.

I did! It came back 50% Rottweiler and 50% Miniature Schnauzer.

Wait, I think that was a different cheek swab.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that's true, and foxes are smaller still.

Singer Miley Cyrus was banned from China because the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was upset by pictures the then-Disney star took posing with slanted eyes.

Well, I was pretty pissed about those photos, too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yep, RDJ.

I'm actually reading an NPR transcript about blackface now. Angelina Jolie did it also, when she played Marianne Pearl, which, honestly, I never would have thought of on my own.

Now tagless for your comfort.

What does whiplash feel like? I took a spill last night and landed flat on my back and my head (safely in a helmet) bounced pretty hard. Today my neck is stiff and sore.

Thankfully, nothing else really hurts. And I kicked ass at the fall drills and pushing, hitting drills.

GM's new Cruze got an EPA rating of 28 city, 42 highway. Pretty impressive for a conventional gas engine. I believe the car is rated as mid-sized for interior space too. Nice.

Good to see GM putting out good product, especially since there is a factory here in KC (not for this model though). That bailout was probably the most cost effective jobs program the government could have done, and maybe we'll get our money back too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. That highway mileage is better than the Ford Fiesta, which is what I'm leaning towards if I buy a new car soon.

eta: Fiesta is 30 mpg City, 40 highway.

Have you seen the Top Gear review of the Fiesta? It's amazing.
