Vortex, I'm pretty sure they said "we can fix it" versus "we can
try
to fix it," because when they read the repair computer it said (at least figuratively) "putting in a chip will definitely no-doubt-about-it fix this."
I'm really REALLY averse to driving around with a permanent CHECK ENGINE light on, which would tend to mask a new and more serious problem like imminently blowing up.
I'm waiting for the repair shop owner to call me back. If he could do something like get me a discount at a Subaru dealership that would offset some of my $250 (and help also to ensure they don't try first replacing the chip AGAIN) that would be a helpful resolution.
I'm taking tomorrow off; it's a floating holiday, and I worked on Columbus Day.
Have to go do an errand of mercy with a friend now, so I'll be back later. Advice here was for sure useful!
I'm pretty sure I've never gotten Veterans Day off, and this year had Columbus Day possibly for the first time, but I can't really remember.
Work tomorrow, work the day after T-Giving. We are invited to late T-Giving dinner with the sis-in-Law in Orange County on that Friday. but we don' wanna go.
Scrappy, I am so happy you already have a commitment with me that evening to do that thing with those people that can't be changed as deposits have been put down and whatnot.
t will make excuse for friends
People, when you get a wrong number, why don't you just say, I got a wrong number? What's so hard about that?
I have never understood that. Why just hang up? It's rude! And with caller ID, they know who you are!
I know! I should totally call him back and be all "Uh hello yourself! I know you got a wrong number and that's okay! Have a good day!"
I've never had anyone just hang up on me, that's terrible!! I ended up having quite a lovely conversation with a wrong number once because she just KEPT CALLING - she was convinced she had the right number. It was fun.
