The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Someone decided that they really needed to see my next door neighbors about 45 minutes ago, so they rang their doorbell a lot, and then started with the pounding on the door, loudly.

I'm pretty sure my next door neighbors are away for the weekend.

Or REALLY heavy sleepers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just ran out of pain meds. I knew this was going to happen, but I was kinda hoping to make it to tomorrow. I don't need pain meds on a decent ER day.

It kinda ixnays all my tentative plans for the weekend, which included seeing Red or Four Kings. I have no idea how to work with this. Last weekend was amazing fun, and I really needed the time with my BFF, but it was taxing. Christmas vacation is going to kill me.

Speaking of which I should call home. My parents seem to be ignoring me right now.

Empty Bowls

Oooo, our local art college used to do this every year, but then the ceramics prof who organized it retired and it went on hiatus for a year and never returned. I loved it and got some lovely bowls from it too.

While you're turning back, don't forget to change the batteries in your smoke detectors, too!

I had planned to get up early, run, go to the theater (I'm ushering for a matinee), then maybe go to a movie matinee (Red, I think). Except I slept too late to run before going to the theater and my whole schedule is thrown off. I really need to run today, which means no movie today.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So today I'm going to [link] and tomorrow I'm going to [link] . Very bad for my bank account!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But fun!

I still haven't made it off the couch.

What I'm currently thinking: Stephen Colbert is a great singer, because he's a good musician, but he doesn't have a great voice. I really like that about him.

Because books.

Oh man, I wish I could come with you to the first one, Tom.

Those both look excellent Tom! Have an awesome time.

I still haven't made it off the couch.

I'm beginning to wonder if I am going to today. I suspect going out of the apartment is right out of the question.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm off the couch, but only because my laptop ran out of juice and I had to bring it back to my desk to charge. DH took D to the children's museum, so I'm thinking I may just go back to bed.

Because books.

I've already been to the airport and back, with a stop off at a Fresh Market. Now I would like to go back to bed, but we have to drop Sara at a one-day dance workshop in a little while.
