I feel like I should wear a sari for Diwali. But no.

I once got the most dismissive dressing down on the Oxford comma from a boss. She could "understand," she explained, why I thought it was "necessary," but I was "clearly mistaken."
God, I hated her. I wonder where she is now... ::heads off to LinkedIn::
I think I still have that sari, but I don't wear it because it unfastens.
I love Indian/Hindu holidays. They all seem like so much fun.
It is on my list of things to do in life to be in India during Holi. It looks EPIC.
I still have to get the top made to complete my sari. And then I will wear it nowhere, because I will be self-conscious.
I don't even wear wrap dresses or skirts because they make me so nervous. But saris are so pretty.
I know how that goes. I have this GORGEOUS qipao from China and I never ever wear it because I am all self-conscious about it.
But saris are awesome, I am very impressed that you are making one yourself!!
I just sent out an email to people in my office about something that they were supposed to turn in to me by the end of the first week in November.
Of course, today is the last day of the first week of November but apparently my supervisor is getting a million complaints about people not knowing when the deadline was - even though the initial email I sent about this matter said that I needed it by the end of the first week in November.
And even if you don't come into the office today you were no doubt here Thursday, Wednesday, Tuesday or Monday - all days in the first week in November.
I am posting this here so I don't give in to the impulse to post it to my department and get my self in further hot water.
(My supervisor asked me who told me to send that email - I was under the impression that by giving me the task of gathering up this stuff I was granted permission to email as needed. So annoying.)

I've worn saris twice now. The time I was wrapped by an actual Indian person (as opposed to Emily and me) I never felt exposed or even potentially exposed at all. It's far more comfortable in that regard than a wrap skirt.
You know, cupcakes are awesome. You know what'd be even more awesome? Cupcakes with little cupcakes on top!
