I just read elsewhere a guy whining that feminism didn't include male equality. Dude...it's called feminism. Why is it called feminism? It should be called something else! No, dude, then it wouldn't be talking about what feminism means. You're looking for gender equality. Why whine that feminism isn't that? It's like complaining (almost) that anti-Semitism ignores black people.

Okay, that's being harsh. It's pretty damned easy to be seen as feminised in American society. But for some reason he doesn't want to associate with any established definition of feminism because they don't fully address men striving for what society says is forbidden them.

Most simply put, I don't see why he can't be feminist plus, but there is an upper limit on the amount of times I can say "Gender equality, dude." And since he won't look it up, I bow out with the wikipedia link.
