OH! turns out I am also motivated to transfer all my reading tracking from bookcrossing over to library thing (since they have an import feature and it can do that while I work). fun!
My sister is currently working on tracking down this family member. My mother doesn't recognise her. Lady, at least tell me how you're related. Tell me something!
Ugh, I have another swollen infiltrated hand. At least this one doesn't hurt, but it is making watch-wearing kinda cumbersome.
My sister had her embryos implanted yesterday. We won't know if they take until the 15th. Man, I hope this works for her.
Okay, Skating with the Stars has come up with a sure-fire way to make me watch: choose Sean Young as one of their celebrity skaters. There hasn't been a show that offered that much Crazy on tap since Farscape was cancelled!
Random bit o weather news....
What U.S. city has the highest combined total of heating and cooling degree units?
Heating and cooling degree days, the number of degrees between the day's average temperature and 65 degrees respectively, give a snapshot of the energy costs involved in heating or cooling a home throughout the year. Heating degree days (HDD) are summed on a seasonal basis from July 1 to June 30 while cooling degree days (CDD) are tallied from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. Based on a University of Michigan study by Michael Sivak that considered the 50 largest cities in the lower 48 states, Minneapolis, with an average 7,876 HDD and 699 CDD, leads all cities with a combined 8,575 degree days. The city with the least number of combined degree days is San Diego with 1,929 (1,063 HDD and 866 CDD). Chicago typically comes close to the top of the list with 7,328 combined degree days (6,493 HDD and 835 CDD).

My fave:
4. Streaky the Supercat: Supergirl’s cat. While looking for a way to deactivate the effects of kryptonite, she inadvertently gave her cat superpowers. Streaky possesses powers similar to the Super family.
Because you can see what Streaky is thinking when the kitty's superpowers manifest themselves....
Also, Superman had a monkey?
And there totally needs to be a movie of this:
8. Topo: Aquaman’s octopus. He was trained by Green Arrow in archery, can play 8 instruments at once, and has humanlike intelligence.
Man, fucking people. I don't understand why you can't just respond to a meeting invite. Decline! Decline if you don't want to go. But I've got this meeting out here with like 30 people invited and about 10 have bothered to respond.
Meanwhile, someone who is on that fucking invite list just scheduled pizza to be delivered at the same time, so I'm either going to: a) look like an ass in front of the outside people coming in for this when people traipse in for the meeting 10 minutes late and carrying pizza; b) look like an ass in front of the outside people coming in for this when only three people even bother to show up or c) screw the people who do show up out of free lunch.
Awesome.

I love that Batman's dog wears a mask. Just so no one recognizes it. Because those average-size brown medium-hair dogs are really distinctive.
However, NOTHING can be better than Comet, the Super-Horse:
6. Comet: Supergirl’s horse and boyfriend. Comet, a centaur, got his powers when a witch botched his request to become human and then tried to make up for it by making him a super immortal horse instead. Luckily, he later figured out how to turn into a human and went out with both Supergirl and Lois Lane as Bill Starr. Weird. He has the usual Super Family powers.
AND BOYFRIEND.
Oh, comics. Never change.
