I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

In surprising news, I am unmotivated. Go on, be surprised.

I did find the safe keys though and put away some files that have been needing to go in the safe since July, so there's that.

Things I could be motivated to do today: yardwork, hanging towel rack and magnetic strip in kitchen, cleaning out files, doing a puzzle, cleaning off the tivo.

What I need to do: work at least 5 hours (1 hour down), email job connection people (2), clean bathrooms

It's always so strange when people message you out of the blue on Facebook. I don't like it at all.

I also hate the friend requests from the people who seem to have forgotten that they terrorized me for four straight years in high school. No, we are not friends!

Coding and Sleeping

I accidentally friended someone quite awhile ago, confusing his name with an old friend who differed by only a couple of letters. I still have no idea who this guy is, but we have several mutual friends.

I continue to adore high schoolers. These ones are talking about people from Star Wars and football players having a showdown. There is a very technical discussion happening as to who would win this battle.

And they all did their work. Without me asking.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister is currently working on tracking down this family member. My mother doesn't recognise her. Lady, at least tell me how you're related. Tell me something!

Ugh, I have another swollen infiltrated hand. At least this one doesn't hurt, but it is making watch-wearing kinda cumbersome.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My sister had her embryos implanted yesterday. We won't know if they take until the 15th. Man, I hope this works for her.

Okay, Skating with the Stars has come up with a sure-fire way to make me watch: choose Sean Young as one of their celebrity skaters. There hasn't been a show that offered that much Crazy on tap since Farscape was cancelled!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Random bit o weather news....

What U.S. city has the highest combined total of heating and cooling degree units?

Heating and cooling degree days, the number of degrees between the day's average temperature and 65 degrees respectively, give a snapshot of the energy costs involved in heating or cooling a home throughout the year. Heating degree days (HDD) are summed on a seasonal basis from July 1 to June 30 while cooling degree days (CDD) are tallied from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. Based on a University of Michigan study by Michael Sivak that considered the 50 largest cities in the lower 48 states, Minneapolis, with an average 7,876 HDD and 699 CDD, leads all cities with a combined 8,575 degree days. The city with the least number of combined degree days is San Diego with 1,929 (1,063 HDD and 866 CDD). Chicago typically comes close to the top of the list with 7,328 combined degree days (6,493 HDD and 835 CDD).
