Oh, amyth, my thoughts are with you guys.

One of my neighbors in the alley always flies a flag from his balcony. He must have an enormous collection: state flags (MD, NM and CA that I can remember,) pride flag, Saints flag, holiday flags, etc. Anyway, Loki noticed it the other night, and I guess it spooks him. Mind you, this is way up high, second floor. But as soon as he spots it, he gets a little slinky and has to keep an eye on it while it is in view. No idea what about it bugs him. Especially since he can see it from the deck and ignores it there.

Today was an odd day. Spent 8:30 to 9 going over some notes for a meeting, then started working on something else. 9:45 I get a meeting reminder, and start looking into something that's just come up that I need to mention at the meeting. Next I look at the clock, it is 10:45 and I've totally blown off the meeting. WTF?! No one called me either, which is weird because I'd walked in with my boss and told her I'd see her at the meeting. Ahrg. Luckily, didn't miss too much and everyone thought it was funny.

Because books.

All kinds of good vibes for your brother and all of you, amyth.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, amyth. Best of luck to your brother and the whole family.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Suzi, do you think CJ and mac are talking to each other?

Oh lordy, that would be bad. Though, knowing CJ, that is when he would show his charming ability to get along with anyone.

There is one little girl at the dojo, I'm guessing she is around 10. She hits every button I have, finds nerves I never knew I had and I just can't deal with her. I know plenty of other adults who feel the same. CJ can get her to do stuff in the dojo with no effort and she doesn't bug him at all.

Ok, homework is done. Time to be mean mom.

ousted 3 Supreme Court Judges who had the gaul to rule the 'one man-one woman' marriage amendment uncostitutional!

Support for my view that it makes total sense for judges to be elected rather than appointed, and that this should also extend to brain surgeons.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I feel like I bogarted all the good luck this week. You can blame the mid-term election reversal on me.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Thanks, Connie.

OMG so full. Just back from a mysterious work dinner. Mysterious because everyone else at the dinner was at some top secret offsite meeting all day that I know nothing about and was not invited to. But, I was invited to the dinner! And, apparently my name came up a lot. I don't even know.

In addition to many unusual and excellent appetizers, I had black cod with a miso glaze. It did not quite live up to the time I had the same dish a couple of years ago and it was one of the top five things I've ever put in my mouth. (Ba dum bum) But it was damn close.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm sleepy. My students had a midterm tonight, so I had to stay and proctor that, after teaching all day. So I had a sandwich for dinner, and now I'm having some soup for whatever meal it is you eat at quarter to 10.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Burrell, was it black cod we had at the Harrison Ford restaurant? I was totally impressed with that new dish. But see how I can't remember what it is.
