Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Of course he has, it's news, so he'll get to be interviewed, maybe a press conference or two.

Hey, whatever gets to the bottom of this. I want to know who the corporate/PAC imbeciles are so I can ensure they never get another dime of my money.

I dislike the guy, I knew him when he was an AUSA in DC and he was a dick.

DH's best friend is a MC cop. I never heard a good word out of him when he had to deal with Gansler as MC State's Attorney.

It's too bad that he was running unopposed for AG. I would have seriously considered voting for his opponent, just on sheer dislike of him as an individual.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Fucking Kirk.

Who wants to lay bets on how soon ads for the mayoral race start running? Before or after we know who won the governor's race?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Daisy, I was so sorry to hear your news. Peace and comfort to all who knew and loved him.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

"You voted for the Republicans--this is what you get."

Didn't we just do that? Fuck.

Art Crawl!!!

When is the Mayoral election in Chicago?

I was listening to NPR and there was a suggestion that Republican tactics - if they involve lots of hearings for anything Healthcare related -- may backfire as people start to get a deeper knowledge of what is in the healthcare bill.

Also, that the dems left in the House and Senate are from Blue states and have no worries about supporting the healthcare bill.

And that there is no way in Hell that Obama is going to sign a law that repeals the healthcare bill.

The other thing that made me feel better was that this is the 3rd time in a row that the ruling party has lost the House in the midterm election following that of a same party President being elected. The trend having more to do with preferring divided party rule than being about any particular issue - no matter what is being said.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, once the Republicans learned they could win the House again, it's been more back and forth. But even the last long time with Dem majority was Reagan/Bush, wasn't it?

And yet they get peeved that nothing gets accomplished. I'm sort of stomach sick at the thought of the Tea Party gaining any prominence.

I hope that this year is all about obstructing Congress. I can't believe how even with a super majority Dems were useless.

I am thrilled that CA no longer needs a 2/3rd majority to pass a budget. About. Damn. Time.

(Apparently I woke up crabby this morning... I blame crappy sleep and dreams about Hoover Dam).

Wow, that is huge.

Illinois is very depressing. The governor is still too close to call though.
