Aaaand for reasons known only to my brain, I just recalled a conversation with my neighbor from a couple weeks back. His washer and dryer died and he was fretting about being able to a) get them out and b) get new ones in, given our teeny offsized doors. I reassured him I was able to get ones that fit and they weren't off label or specialty or tiny.
Just now, I just remember I had the door reframed since I moved them in and the opening is technically smaller. Cue panicked run to the basement with a tape measure. Looks like it's all good, even if it isn't something I need to worry about for a decade or so, hopefully. Might have to take the door off the hinges, but there is still clearance. Whew.
psst...sarameg has homeowner brain , pass it on
No shit. If that's a secret at this point....
mac is picking fights with me. ahhhh night before school starts back, I hate you.
I am going to type up our chore chart and I think I am doing some sticker thing with it. I need something to track him pulling shit like fighting about baths and bedtime, he's going to start losing computer and ds time because of it.
Definitely worth a try. My brother and SIL adopted the red-yellow-green light thing the preschool did for home as well, but that might be a little too unsophisticated for mac at this point (still works with D, but he's used to it and it has become more nuanced as he's aged, and tied into a more complicated rewards system that affects his allowance.) For a while there, a greenlight day for T was one where he bit no one.
I'm cooking another of my sous kitchen meals. House smells good.
Not thinking about tomorrow or tomorrow's outfit yet, though I really should, because I have to leave the house at 6:45 for a dr's appointment.
Watching trash tv and playing fetch with avon and a rubber band. He's going on two hours with this thing. Not counting last night, when he espied the rubber band holding a sheaf of index cards, grabbed it with his teeth, jumped off the coffee table and jogged down the hallway and into the office with the index cards hanging from his mouth. I would have stopped him sooner but I had to get the camera!
He's still kittenish in age, yeah? Loki's gonna be two and...I'm glad the new iPod has a camera, so I can document some of the shit he pulls. Including the crying at the door. And the paper shredding.
Can't Hardly Wait is on TV. Wow, everyone was in this movie.
I fell asleep and when I woke up I couldn't tell if it was still Sunday evening or in the middle of the night. I am a little relieved that it is, in fact, still Sunday evening.
My cat is complaining about her food. She is on a prescription diet now and was fine with it for about a week and now doesn't seem to consider it good enough.
