I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Knitting by the fire: achieved! And it was everything I hoped it would be. I am much more chill now. And! The front and back of my sweater are complete! Now if only I could find my pattern book so I could make a start on the sleeves. I also cannot find my big bag of yarn, and I suspect the two are in the same place. I just don`t know what place.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY for LSO being home!

I am not drinking, but I am awake, after a long long nap. I do have a little bottle of decent sparkling wine for later, but later might be next year.

Finish! This project`s going on a year and a half, but I`m still getting a lot of enjoyment out of it! I did have a terrible revelation, though. I am an Unhappy Hipster! I am wearing black cargo pants and a grey ribbed cowl neck sweater and black flip flops with short black hair and black glasses. I am sitting on a squared off modern black leather sofa. Drinking tea out of a white square mug with black interior. Knitting a black and grey sweater. If you`d taken my picture against the white wall, I would have looked straight out of Dwell. But I`m happy! I swear!

Art Crawl!!!

Hee.

I finally started the ribbing on the bottom hem of my sweater last weekend. After doing hours upon hours of straight stockinette, I have picked a somewhat more interesting pattern for the ribbing so it is no longer 'mindless' knitting.

But rather than knitting I've been listening to podcasts and playing Monster Galaxy on Facebook.

I'm sorry your grandmother's not doing well, shrift, and for your roommate losing her cat.

Thanks, Calli. I'm medicating with Bugs Bunny and Batman.

Yay, the Thai place downstairs lowered their lunch prices! I can now get my favorite dish and a Thai iced tea for $1 less than the entree alone used to cost. Given that I always have enough leftovers for a light meal the next day, they have now made themselves competitive with Chinese take-out and sandwich boxed lunches.

Sounds like 2010 is refusing to go quietly. Heaps of ~ma to thems that are in need.

Kelly and I hit Hobby Lobby, Joannes, and Target today. We came home with 5 rolls of wrapping paper, 6 cookie tins, 4 boxes for cookies, 2 packets of tissue paper, 3 strings of lights, 2 big boxes of Christmas Cards, a cocktail gift set, a tree skirt, and a 7.5 foot fake tree. The vast majority was 75% off - we spent under $100. I'm still in shock.
