That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Tonight's NYE party

Have fun and tell Tami I said hi!

Art Crawl!!!

My cat is not feeling well today. She is uncharacteristically quiet and I am concerned. I hope it's just a passing thing. I have a cold myself today - I'm all stuffy and headachy.

And it was raining this morning. Not so much now - just misty and wet out.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay for almost home!

The SO is getting ready to give it another shot this morning. Last night the forecast said there would be a four hour break in the snow this morning, but today the forecast calls for snow showers all day. So we'll see.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I used my new kitchenaid for the first time, AIFG!! My stout cake is in the oven and the mix tasted great.

My sister texted and she won't be able to make it for NYE, for which I feel sneakily relieved. She's a good girl, and I would be happy to have her, but now I feel like I can relax a bit more and just party, and not be a Hostess, you know? Everyone else coming are all good, old friends, and they take care of themselves.

I WILL have 4 kids under 10 here, 3 of whom are staying the night. M is SO jazzed!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay, aren't they awesome? I love my kitchenaid, yes, I does.

I tried getting up several times this morning and it just didn't take. Did rake up my postage stamp and discover my downspout has indeed split a seam, damnit (I was certain it hadn't, this may be a recent development.) I can't imagine replacing it during the winter, but since several of my neighbors have done theirs recently, maybe I can get quotes now.

Motivating to go swim, since they close at 5:30 today.

Definitely am in the thick (hahah) of the headcold right now.

Our wings are not tired.

I am awake now, so should probably go greet my houseguests!!

Erin, I am glad you're living your KitchenAid mixer. I got mine for Christmas about 7 years ago and have used it twice. 2011 should involve a mixer-use goal for me.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Wow, Apple's tech support is kind of blowing.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Liese, I have become oddly invested in your SO's travails to get home to you. I think perhaps because I don't think I'll have my SO with me tonight. I just spoke with him and MiL has a resistant infection in her lungs. fie! I'm bummed because I suspect this means she'll be sick for a good while.
