grr irritating work issue means that, although I have tomorrow and Monday off, I will have to be checking my email and, possibly, responding to pissed off users and fixing things for them. Awesome!

SO left the store for home about twenty minutes ago and then just now texted to say he's not making it home right now. He says he's okay but the roads are not, and more info later. I don't know what that means! I mean, I'm glad he's ok. But is he okay stuck in a ditch at the side of the road? Is he okay in a jam behind a pileup?

A parody website did an "interview" with Bieber where he supported the construction of the so-called "Ground-zero Mosque". Now people are calling for a boycott against Bieber.

He called. He had to turn the wrong direction leaving the store and couldn't get turned around. He finally turned in our old neighborhood. Now he's parked at the Denny's.

He's going to head up to Show Low and see what it looks like there. If satisfactory, he's going to try one route home. It's a bigger highway, but it's worse once he hits side roads. So if it starts looking squirrelly, then he's going to keep on going to the town north of us and stay there overnight.

I am going to freak out like a mammal. That is my plan of action. And maybe launder some sheets.

I'd say freaking out like a mammal is a good plan of action. Find a safe place, SO, and stay there! I totally get that impulse to get home, I do. And to want people home. But ACK! stay safe.

I am out of milk so I need to run to the store today. I wish I'd looked at the calendar and done it yesterday. Instead my lack of planning is going to come with a stupid tax in the way of crowds.

NYE plans here will depend on weather and what we're feeling up to.(i.e., are we feeling too lazy to drive to Alexandria for First Night?)

He's in Show Low. He's calling it. So I called over to the Sleep Inn to book him. They have a few rooms left and are holding one for him.

He's what would normally be about two minutes away, but he's thinking it'll probably be a half hour over there.

I will be much happier when I know he is there. I made him eat at the McDonalds' since he was already in the parking lot and I don't want him making more stops than necessary.

The whole thing is a shame because he ended up with no students making it to lessons and rehearsal canceled for tonight. So he might as well have stayed home with me.

It's just irritating because it's so hard to call what the weather will do out here. Yesterday he canceled a trip to Window Rock that probably would have been fine to participate in a film someone's making about the musician whose family is funding us. I think he was stinging from that unnecessary cancellation so wanted to try going in today. But it turns out he shouldn't have. It's just hard to gauge.
