To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yes, you do. (if it works out and all that non-mememe stuff)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

And thanks, guys.

I'm totally fine. (Other than the panic!) We got a huge load of firewood in Tuesday and the dog and I are all snug in the house. Fed the birds who are going crazy out there. We've got groceries and stored water and whatnot. So I should be fined even snowed in.

But poor SO. It's been a half hour since the last report. I'm thinking even if he's successful in getting home the other way it'll probably still be another hour. But I'm going on the premise that no news is good news at this point, and that he'd call me if he wrecks.

Meanwhile, it has starting coming down again like crazy (it was sunny when he left) and blowing winds are really severe.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Matt, Creation Cons are such a scam. If you really want to see Kavan Smith, find out which day he's going to be onstage the most, and then go the day of an buy a day-pass. It's much cheaper than any of Creation's package tickets and you won't feel so much like cattle. Of course, Mr. Smith will be treated like cattle by Creation, but there's not much you can do about that.

brillig

Bad snow here in Utah last night as well. Domino's sent their delivery drivers home (yes, we were going to make some poor schmoe deliver our dinner rather than go get it ourselves). We were actually quite impressed at the common sense of Domino's, not to risk their people. Hubby pointed out that it would be horrible press to have a Domino's vehicle involved in a wreck.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just be safe, SO!

This! Yikes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In more fun news, I won a prize from Tomato Nation's last donation drive!

In less fun news, I have been reorganizing my email. Which is possibly more boring than just sitting here.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm glad you're cozy and safe from the snow, Liese. Safe travels~ma to your SO.

I took the kids outside to jump around a bit, but it was way too fucking cold to stay out today. I'm not used to it being so seasonably cold in LA!
