You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

The status is NOT quo.

Kat, Panera wins. Coffee and iced tea. Yum. I'll text you tomorrow and we can talk when/where. Yay!

Glad you finally made it home, mw.

The status is NOT quo.

There are ants everywhere in my cereal and on the shelf in the cupboard with the cereal. I discovered this just now when I went seeking a late night snack since I'm wide awake. Ants! I cannot begin to tell you how much I despise those tiny ants when they swarm inside, which all the rain is apt to cause. Ants! Ick!

I have decided that the only reasonable response is to run away shrieking "Ants!" and then get back and bed where I can pretend I never saw them.

t shudder

Ants.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The total ant biomass on the planet is ten times as great as that of humans.

They're probably not all in your kitchen though.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Pix, if you happen to have natural air freshener made from oranges, spray that on your counter. I used it liberally when they invaded my laundry room and they never came back.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Brooklyn snowmageddon update - day three of no trains or buses in my neighborhood or points south! Is there a level of bureaucratic incompetence beyond clusterfuck??

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Jess, seriously, what the hell? I think I had four or five snow days my entire life in Nassau County. I know you had a blizzard, but this is blowing my miiiind.

I'm the only person in my office yesterday and today. I feel like I'm the only person in the building. Between the knee surgery and the holidays, and the snow, and this, I'm seriously going to lose it. You all heard it here first.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I believe the emergency yodel button may be of some use, as well. [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Was the grinding guard discussion today here or Bitches? I'm having no luck searching this thread. A friend is looking for a brand recommendation on an OTC brand.

It was here! erin_obscure linked to one, but I don't think she necessarily recommended that brand over others.

It's not raining here yet, so we went to the open-air ice skating rink tonight. So much fun!

Me too! I went skating last night, and it was super fun. I was impressed with my ability to actually skate, more or less, given that I haven't been on ice skates since I was little. I may actually buy skates now, since they don't go bad, and renting was $8.

Between the knee surgery and the holidays, and the snow, and this, I'm seriously going to lose it. You all heard it here first.

You poor thing. I hope things turn around for you.

I have to say how impressed I am with the snow-clearing around here. Granted, I'm right in the middle of town, but I won't have to wear snow boots tomorrow at all. Sweet!
