HEY!
I should have left work an hour ago. Should have gone to the gym. And yet, still at my desk.
Husband is right this minute talking to HR at my workplace. It's pretty likely that they want to hire him, but that money will be the sticking point. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that they don't offer him a 30% pay cut.
I should have left work an hour ago. Should have gone to the gym. And yet, still at my desk.
Should have gone grocery shopping. Should have gone to the gym. Should have taken out recycling. Not, it turns out, so much.
I wish you all more motivation than I am exhibiting.
Fingers crossed for enough money offered, Dana.
I wrote three more college recommendations and took an online supervisor sexual harassment course. That's enough for today, right?
Sigh.
Okay, I still need to grade five Huck Finn papers before I can call it a day.
What should have been a 45 minute hop to my parent's town to home turned into a hours long ordeal. We knew the flight was an hour late when we left for the airport. It was 90 minutes lates by the time we got to the airport, 15 minutes later. We ended up leaving 2 hrs, 15 minutes late.
We were on a tiny commuter plane, 18 seats. As we boarded, they told us to go to the back of the plane, no matter what our seat number was. We were human ballast! It was snowing and blowing when we landed in Halifax, and I think it was too windy to take off here. The plane was so small, the co-pilot gives the safety spiel, and there's no door between the cabin and the cockpit. The first line of the safety spiel was "You may here beeping and ringing noises from the cockpit, do not be alarmed." As he went into the cockpit, the woman sitting next to me said, "He looks a little young to be a pilot."
The flight was smooth, but the descent was bumpy and the plane was hot, so I had a few anxious moments of "Oh God, I'm going to throw up on a tiny plane."
I'm glad to be home. And in spite of the hassles and delays, it's still better than taking the bus.
I will trade you Huck Finn for Handmaid's Tale papers!
Actually, if you'd like to spend sometime having coffee and grading on Thursday, I'd love to see you, Kristin.
Glad you got home okay, Sue. Sorry it was such a hassle.
Was the grinding guard discussion today here or Bitches? I'm having no luck searching this thread. A friend is looking for a brand recommendation on an OTC brand.
I wish you all more motivation than I am exhibiting.
I worked from 9:30 until 7, ran an errand, came home and put away dishes and reloaded the dishwasher, and now I'm awaiting groceries and trying to decide what to have for dinner.
When you figure it out, let me know. Maybe I can copy you.
